Will he survive?
Only FSM would know the answer to that.
So what happened?
To answer that question we have to go way back, back into time!
Well, not really. Just recently I bought an atheros mini-pci wireless card as a replacement for the crappy broadcom one in my ASUS WL-500g Premium wireless router because there are just no [...]
Now let’s see what goes on inside this ‘lil sucker. As I posted before, I built OpenVPN Windows installer packages and now I am trying to do the same thing for our OSX users. As I don’t have easy access to any OSX machine and there is no (legal and easy) way to run it [...]
Turns out there is a simple way to do gateway redirection for openvpn clients on a per client basis. Just set the server up to do it and put the redirect-gateway option in the clients config file for those who need it.
Caveat: DO NOT FORGET TO REMOVE IT ONCE YOU’RE DONE TESTING.
Took me some time [...]
Hello World,
I can now use the Fonera to talk to the serial port of the Arduino via telnet using ser2net. I worte a simple script which allows me to control three leds with some simple commands.
This is fun
It started working when I disabled the console on ttyS0 in /etc/inittab on the Fonera.
The possibilities [...]
I know, it’s been done before (1,2) but as LAN and WiFi for the Arduino are a little expensive and I had this spare Fon AP I had to try it myself. So simple once you get past the screws and nick a little code from the aforementioned links.
There is a problem though: The Fonera [...]
Hello World,
yeah I know… I’ll be clever next time. But, for all those who want their s2putty to vibrate on terminal bell, I compiled The current 1.5 source with a touched up vibrate patch (originally by jesses).
It runs fine here, but as always there’s no guarantees and stuff.
Any complaints to me or in the comments.

Hello World,
today I got my Arduino and a rfm12b transceiver. Now all I need will be a remote dimmer switch and my dream of an alarm clock which slowly lights my mornings will finally become true.
For those who don’t know, Before I had my Asus WL-500gp OpenWRT Router do the work using a Gembird SIS-PM. [...]
I like the OpenID idea and wanted to use it for commandlinefu.com. As I also like to try stuff out and host my own things I decided to set up phpMyID for my needs.
Works like a charm, at least for the purpose intended
Hello World,
People who deal with me on a regular basis should by now have encountered my cellphone. It’s big and ugly, but it has a complete keyboard, UMTS, WiFi and there’s s2putty for it!
The only thing which has bothered me this far is the lack of vibrate on terminal bell for s2putty… but there is [...]
Hello world,
I maintain the OpenVPN Servers for the RWTH Aachen university and to facilitate adoption I decided to put together a custom Windows(tm) Installer package for Windows users, especially Vista 64-bit users, who do not even have a choice to use the Cisco VPN stuff because there is no Vista 64-bit client for that.
Now, one [...]
